Blevins Science & Engineering Fair 2008

Congratulations to the 190 students who participated in the Blevins 2008 Science and Engineering Fair!
The quality and creativity displayed by our student community was truly amazing. The Science Department
would like to thank the administrative staff, the custodial staff and the CSU judges for all of their
help. Students who placed 1st and 2nd will be invited to the Longs Peak Science and Engineering Fair to
be held March 5th, 2009.  Students who created inventions should see Mrs. Duran about entering the Wasson Inventor’s Fair.

About Blevins' Student Participation in School, Regional, State, and National Science Fairs

Science Fair provides individual students or small teams of students the option of exploring a science problem through experimentation or solving an engineering design problem.  At Blevins every Pre-AP student in grade 8 and 9 is requried to complete an individual science fair project.  Over 100 students participate in the Blevins Science Fair each year.  Judges from the community choose 10 grade 8 and 10 grade 9 students to send to the Longs Peak Science and Engineering Fair at UNC in Greeley.  The top two senior division students (grades 9-12) receive a direct trip to the International Science and Engineering Fair.  The top students in both the senior division and the junior division (grades 6-8) are invited to participate in the Colorado Science and Engineering Fair.  Blevins' students participate in Science Fairs at the school, regional, state, and international level every year.
